The story we're telling

WELLS follows a woman who turned grief into evidence and evidence into a movement. It is the story of a reporter who counted the dead when no one else would, who was driven from her home for telling the truth, and who built the institutions that carried the fight forward long after her name faded from the headlines. It is a story of conviction, of family, and of the price of speaking first.

We are telling it now because the questions Ida asked have not gone quiet, about a free press, about who is believed, and about what one relentless person can do with the facts. Her life was cinema before there was a word for it. Our job is to honor it with the scale it deserves.
