Ida B. Wells organized city by city, church by church, block by block. So do we. Bring Rise With Wells to your community and help carry her fight forward where you live.
Start OrganizingTell us where you are. A coordinator will follow up personally.
Your request is in. A coordinator will reach out soon to help you get started in your city.
Rise With Wells is not run from one office. It is carried by a coalition of local chapters, congregations, campuses, and neighbors, working together in partnership with the NAACP and community organizations across the country. Wherever people gather to tell the truth and build power, there is a place for this work.
You do not need a title or a budget to start. You need a room, a few neighbors, and a willingness to do what Ida did: document, organize, and refuse to be moved.
Gather your community for a screening and a guided conversation about Ida's legacy and the fight it demands today.
Convene a "Boycott to Build" town hall, framing the film as a community-funded institution and pooling collective power.
Help neighbors record their family stories and local histories, adding them to a living archive of truth.
Form a standing local chapter that connects with the NAACP, churches, and organizers to carry the campaign forward.
Rise With Wells organizes alongside NAACP chapters and local partners so that this work is rooted in trusted institutions already doing it, not layered on top of them.
